What is it?
Agorapp is a web-app to connect authors with their public. The localised notification system will allow you to know in advance when an author will come in person close to where you are. By following a page and setting up the notifications, you can be sure not to miss the event you want to attend, without the need to check every time what's happening in town. The events we focus on are those related to publishing, journalism and culture but you can use Agorapp to communicate concerts, conferences, festivals, political rallies and in general everything that takes place in public.
How does it work?
Agorapp is a container for personal, social, thematic, and location-based pages. Each page can be either closed (only the owner can publish an event) or open (anyone can publish on it). In addition to your personal page, you can create pages for public figures that interest you or update existing pages with upcoming events. If you have your own audience, use Agorapp to communicate your schedule and allow those who follow you to be notified when you are nearby for an event.
Once you follow a page, you will receive information about events on your feed. If you want to be notified via message, you will need to activate notifications on the followed page. The notifications section allows you to add various locations where you are interested in receiving alerts for future events. For each location, you can specify a radius within which you want to receive notifications. For example, you can set it within 100 kilometers from Rome or within 25 kilometers from Milan.
