Sipho Kings is the publisher and a co-founder of The Continent, a weekly African newspaper distributed on chat platforms like WhatsApp and Signal. By combining the strengths of print newspapers and 21st century technology, The Continent covers 54 countries and gets news to people in a way that cannot be censored. His job is to make it a place where people can do their best work, for as long as possible, before climate change collapses how the world works. With a background in investigative environment reporting, Sipho won a dozen awards for this work before being selected as a fellow at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University. He then went on to run the Mail & Guardian newspaper in South Africa.
