Negli ultimi anni sono state individuate oltre 1000 sostanze psicoattive di nuova generazione. Questo laboratorio propone un percorso di conoscenza del processo di drug checking, che ha l'obiettivo di intercettare le sostanze psicotrope non ancora catalogate, restituirne la composizione per inserirla nella corretta categoria, individuare i rischi in caso di assunzione e divulgare le informazioni ai servizi preposti, senza dimenticare che il drug checking è anche una pratica di riduzione del rischio. Dopo un inquadramento teorico, potremo assistere a una dimostrazione dal vivo del funzionamento di un servizio di drug checking, compresa la parte relativa a una corretta comunicazione dei risultati delle analisi e a una valutazione dell'efficacia di questo metodo per limitare i rischi collegati al consumo delle droghe, in particolare quelle di ultima generazione.
