La partecipazione di alcuni giovani intellettuali cattolici (i professorini) alla Costituente costituisce un esempio senza pari di come una esperienza religiosa intensa e radicale, abbia colto l’esigenza di unificare le speranze di rinnovamento della società all’indomani della dittatura fascista. Si dava così sbocco con quella forma di agape che papa Francesco ama definire amicizia politica alla cultura della crisi degli anni Trenta; lo sbocco teologico verrà solo col Concilio e non è un caso che Giuseppe Dossetti sia stato protagonista dell’una e dell’altro.
