Vicenza si prepara a ospitare un evento culturale di grande rilievo: la prima edizione del Vicenza Storia Festival; tra gli appuntamenti più attesi c’è quello che vedrà protagonista lo storico e divulgatore Alessandro Barbero.
Il festival, dedicato al tema “Oriente e Occidente”, esplorerà il dialogo millenario tra queste due sfere culturali che, attraverso scontri, contaminazioni e influenze reciproche, hanno plasmato la storia dell’umanità.
Barbero, noto per la sua capacità di rendere la storia avvincente e accessibile, darà il via all’evento l’11 aprile, inaugurando un programma che prevede otto appuntamenti con alcuni dei più autorevoli storici italiani. La sua lezione si inserirà nel filone centrale del festival: analizzare come le culture orientali e occidentali si siano confrontate e arricchite a vicenda, dai conflitti tra Greci e Persiani fino alle dinamiche contemporanee.
Appuntamento poi alle 21.00 con Alessandro Vanoli: l’invenzione dell’Occidente di cui narrerà è la storia di come una direzione divenne poco alla volta uno spazio pensabile.
