Description
Ponendosi una domanda in auge da più di due millenni, il biofisico Mario Ageno ha una volta definito la vita come un sistema chimico coerente dotato di programma. Ma oggigiorno sappiamo che sulla scala dei nanometri, milionesimi di millimetro, si annida un principio biofisico speciale, sfruttato da macchine molecolari per canalizzare l’energia dell’ambiente in processi che mantengono la vita possibile. Nel nanomondo la “fatica” dell’esistenza ha una sfumatura diversa, e si avvera l’auspicio di Albert Camus: possiamo immaginarci Sisifo felice.
