For the first time, the festival is hosting a dedicated Safety Hub where journalists, editors and news managers can connect with journalist safety experts and organisations in order to discover the resources, training and support that is available to them, from physical safety, risk assessment and digital security to legal safety, online harassment and burnout.
Open throughout the festival (09:00-18:00 on Thursday 16, Friday 17 and Saturday 18 April), the Hub will be running a programme of safety clinics, practical safety workshops and side events, alongside drop-in activities including:
> Spyware Device Scanning: drop into the Hub with your mobile and/or tablet for a free scan from RESIDENT.ngo
> Try Outs and Demos of new AI safety tools, chatbots and online courses
> Guidance and Advice on safety planning, resources, courses, support and assistance available to journalists, editors and news managers

Kindly note that the Centro Alessi has two entrances, one in Via Mazzini and one in Via Danzetta (parallel streets). The entrance for the drop-in activities and the clinics is in Via Danzetta.
