Workshop
In questo workshop i partecipanti sono incoraggiati a esplorare il design del libro attraverso la selezione delle copertine più belle negli stand degli editori in fiera. Le scelte costituiranno la base di una discussione (con gli editori e tra i partecipanti stessi) sul rapporto tra la copertina di un libro e il suo contenuto. I partecipanti saranno poi guidati nella creazione di un catalogo delle copertine selezionate utilizzando una stampante Risograph. L’idea è costruire insieme una pubblicazione unica e collaborativa.
Il laboratorio sarà in lingua inglese.
Maximage è uno studio di design pluripremiato con sede in Svizzera. Gli ambiti di interesse comprendono: identità visiva, soluzioni digitali, libri, poster, caratteri tipografici, opere d’arte. Le collaborazioni a lungo termine includono la direzione artistica della casa editrice zurighese Edition Patrick Frey e lo sviluppo di campagne per Arsenic-Contemporary Peforming Arts Center. I membri dello studio insegnano regolarmente alla Head di Ginevra, alla Zhdk di Zurigo e all’Elac di Losanna, dove hanno condotto un progetto di ricerca sulle tecnologie di stampa che ha portato alla creazione della Color Library. Maximage gestisce anche la piattaforma di type design Maxitype, che offre caratteri tipografici al dettaglio e su misura e incoraggia la ricerca e lo sviluppo in campo tipografico. Il lavoro di Maximage ha ricevuto diversi premi dall’Ufficio Federale Svizzero della Cultura. Nel 2020 lo studio è stato insignito del premio Jan Tschichold.
