Siamo nella Striscia di Gaza nel 2003, durante la Seconda Intifada. Mahmud (Marwan Hamdam) un ragazzino palestinese di undici anni, l’israeliano Alon (Mikhael Fridel) e l’ex campione di surf Dan (Tom Rhys Harries) si ritrovano a stringere un’amicizia profonda uniti dalla loro grande passione comune per il surf. Intorno a loro ci sono bombardamenti e odio, bambini destinati al martirio e terrore quotidiano. In una Gaza devastata Mahmud e Alon incontrano Dan sulla spiaggia, si trova lì per riportare a casa le ceneri di sua sorella, un medico volontario, tragicamente morta sotto i bombardamenti. L’uomo oltre al tragico lutto sta affrontando una dura lotta contro la dipendenza da antidolorifici. Quel giorno tutto cambia. I tre diventano inseparabili, Dan insegna surf ai suoi giovani amici e la loro amicizia si trasforma in una scuola di vita che insegnerà loro ad amare il prossimo e che la pace è possibile.
