L’ordine internazionale “basato sulle regole” è mai esistito davvero, o era solo un’illusione confortante riservata a pochi? Dall’invasione russa dell’Ucraina al genocidio condotto da Israele in Palestina, fino alla guerra d’aggressione statunitense in Iran: gli ultimi anni hanno dissolto ogni residua fiducia in un sistema internazionale razionale e ordinato. In realtà l’agire degli Stati Uniti, come potenza egemone che prometteva di difendere la pace e il diritto internazionale, ha sempre seguito interessi economici e definito sfere di influenza, dagli interventi in America centrale e meridionale, all’Iran, Iraq e Afghanistan. Le regole su cui si sarebbe dovuto basare il sistema internazionale avevano lo scopo di proteggere solo una libertà, quella delle aziende, dei colossi finanziari e delle multinazionali “occidentali” di sfruttare qualsiasi zona fosse di loro interesse. La guerra non è un’anomalia: è il prolungamento di interessi ben identificabili. È inevitabile il ritorno a un conflitto esteso su scala globale? E quali fragili scenari restano aperti per immaginare un futuro di pace?
