Il lavoro sul declino cognitivo si avvale non solo dei progressi della medicina, ma anche dei benefici offerti da un'esperienza culturale guidata, condivisa tra pazienti e loro caregiver. Questo percorso espositivo immersivo e interattivo si colloca nell'ambito della rete Archivi e salute, progetto di welfare culturale coordinato dall'Archivio di Stato di Modena. L'Archivio Storico Comunale e la Biblioteca Poletti presentano dieci “scatole parlanti”, esito del lavoro di un'equipe di esperti con persone affette da diverse forme di declino cognitivo. Le scatole, che contengono materiale fotografico e documentario conservato nei due istituti, narrano - attraverso la voce di attori professionisti - le storie non scritte e le memorie personali dei soggetti coinvolti. La visita è arricchita da una web app scaricabile sul proprio dispositivo mobile e da cuffie open-ear per un'esperienza ancor più suggestiva.
