José Pardo-Tomás
José Pardo-Tomás è storico e Ricercatore Scientifico del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche Spagnolo (CSIC) presso l’Istituto di Ricerca in Scienze Umane “Milá y Fontanals” (IMF-CSIC, Barcellona). È stato professore ospite presso centri di ricerca in Italia, Francia, Germania, Messico, Stati Uniti, Argentina e Cile. La sua ricerca si concentra su due aree principali: la storia naturale e la medicina nel rapporto tra sfera coloniale e metropolitana; e le collezioni anatomiche e naturalistiche, i loro spazi (gabinetti, giardini, teatri, musei), i loro protagonisti e le loro reti di comunicazione (viaggi, corrispondenza, accademie, pubblicazioni, insegnamento). Il suo ultimo libro (co-curato insieme a Elisa Andretta) è Dioscórides ante el mundo. Usos de un ‘libro laboratorio’ en la Edad Moderna (Madrid, 2025).
